Congratulations for CTG Awards 2024

Big congratulations to everyone involved in this year’s Cheshire Theatre Guild awards ceremony at Harlequin Theatre in Northwich.

Kingsley Players Youth Theatre were centre stage performing a moving extract from their recent production of ‘A Monster Calls’ – one of four live production extracts during the evening.

‘A Monster Calls’ was one of two productions in the youth category and brought home trophies for Best Lighting and Sound, Best Youth Production and an Adjudicator’s Award for Jake Powell.

Iona Anstice won Best Young Female Actor and Joseph Tomlinson, who played here troubled son Conor, was awarded the Best Young Male Actor prize.

In the adult categories, Murray Milligan beat off stiff competition to win the Best Supporting Male Actor Award for his performance as Dr Gerald Drummond in ‘There Goes the Bride’.

‘The Adventures of Mother Goose’, written by Arnold Ashbrook and directed by Jo Oultram,  was awarded the ‘Oh Yes You Have’ trophy for pantomime!

Kingsley Players also had nominations for the Best Comedy Award (‘One Man Two Guvnors’), Best Female Actor (Kate Burge as Rachel Crabbe in’ One Man Two Guvnors’), Best Supporting Female Actor (Lisa Buckley as Pauline Clench in ‘One Man Two Guvnors’) and Best Costume (‘One Man Two Guvnors’ and ‘There Goes the Bride’).

A great evening for Kingsley Players – and a big shout for our own Colin Smith, who did an excellent job officiating at his first CTG awards event!

Well done!
