Goodnight Mr Tom

In October 2017, Kingsley Players will perform Goodnight Mr Tom by Michelle Magorian, adapted for stage by David Wood.

This wonderfully uplifting tale opens during the dangerous build up to the Second World War and follows young William Beech who is evacuated from London to a rural village. He is placed with an elderly recluse, Tom Oakley who takes him on reluctantly but subsequently forges a remarkable and heart warming friendship.. This is cruelly interrupted when he is summoned back to London by his mother and a potential disaster for William leads to Tom Oakley braving the blitz to try to  rescue William.
