AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT for our May play 2025, to be directed by Carole Shinkfield………The Importance of Being Earnest,   by Oscar Wilde 

Open auditions will be held on the evenings of Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th November 2024 at Kingsley community centre (times to be confirmed) for this  farcical comedy in which the protagonists maintain fictitious personae to escape burdensome social obligations. When Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff discover that the women they fall in love with will only marry a man named Ernest, they find themselves entangled in a lie as they unwillingly share their alter – ego – Ernest Worthing. Ruled over by the formidable Lady Bracknell. Finally, all is revealed by the timid and rigidly moral, but flawed, Miss Prism.
