About KPYT
Kingsley Players have always had a thriving youth contingent, performing in pantomimes and musicals over the years, but there were no real opportunities for our young members after this. In January 2016, Jake Powell, Tom Hayes, and Ellie Hamer founded Kingsley Players Youth Theatre (KPYT.) Since its founding, the group have hosted masterclasses with leading West End Creatives, attended professional theatre trips as well as producing our own KPYT productions. (Variations, Chatroom, Fantastic Mr Fox – to name a few!)
KPYT alumni have gone onto to study at successful drama schools, such as, East 15, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and the National Youth Theatre. The group has a thriving membership and continues to provide free opportunities open to everyone. Whilst centred in Kingsley, the group has members that travel from across the North-West to take part.
In 2023, KPYT will return to take part in the National Theatre Connections Scheme and perform at The Crewe Lyceum Theatre.
