About KPYT
Founded in January 2016 by Jake Powell, Tom Hayes, and Ellie Hamer, Kingsley Players Youth Theatre (KPYT) has become a cornerstone of youth theatre in Cheshire. Known for its inclusive, free opportunities, KPYT has offered young people a chance to develop their talents through productions like Variations, Chatroom, A Monster Calls and Fantastic Mr. Fox.
As the group celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2026, it continues to thrive, with alumni attending prestigious institutions like East 15, the Royal Central School of Speech Drama and Trinity LABAN. In 2026, KPYT will be producing Matilda The Musical JR and My Son’s a Queer—exciting milestones in their continued commitment to artistic excellence.
With members from across Cheshire, KPYT offers workshops, masterclasses, and opportunities to perform in professional theatres like The Crewe Lyceum. Whether performing or working behind the scenes, the group is a vibrant space for young creatives to grow.
